What's your line of business?

Here are some common expressions containing "business":

line of business = area of work: "What's your line of business?" ("I'm in sales.")

in business = ready to start something: "We've finally signed the contract! We're in business!"

go out of business = when a company fails: "They've gone out of business after only a year."

business deal = a business agreement

business venture = a business project

business dealings = a business relationship: "We have had business dealings with this company for six months."

business trip = business travel

family business = a business owned and run by members of the same family

business-minded = having a commercial mentality: "She's business-minded and won't reduce the price for you."

a head for business = naturally good at business: "She's had a head for business since she was at school."

an eye for business = good at finding new business opportunities: "He's got a good eye for business."

grow up learning the business: "He's ideal to take over the company. He grew up learning the business from his father."

mind your own business = not get involved in other people's affairs: "How much do you earn?" (Mind your own business!)

none of your business = to tell someone not to get involved in your affairs: "How much do you earn?" (It's none of your business!)
