New words
How up-to-date is your vocabulary? Words come in and go out of fashion rapidly, so having a recent dictionary is useful. Here are some of the new words (taken from a recent article) in the 11th edition of the Concise Oxford English Dictionary.
custard cream = a type of biscuit with a vanilla filling which is very popular in the UK. (Those of you working in UK businesses are more than likely to have come across a custard cream in your tea break!)

sleb = short form for celebrity
car crash = a bad situation (often in a celebrity's life) that people enjoy reading about: "Her career is a bit of a car crash".
